No surprise act

No Surprises Act

In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect on January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their federal rights and protections against “surprise billing.”

According to this act:

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

You should receive your Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service.

You can also ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

For questions or more information regarding your right to a Good Faith Estimate, feel free to reach out to your provider or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
